Announcement: Volunteer Applications Open June 15!

As promised, Fictionista Workshop has reopened the volunteer application submissions period to all potential volunteers as of June 15, 2010!

So why would you want to volunteer with us? Do you have a positive attitude and desire to spread the positive culture that is found in online writing, editing and reviewing communities? If so, Fictionista Workshop is looking for you!

As a republican-style community rather than an empire, Fictionista Workshop seeks to do something completely different for our members and volunteers, building an environment that fosters creative license and professionalism, free speech, civil discussion, and accountability for all parties. During our last submission period in March, we expanded our team to include hundreds of volunteers from around the world, including Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, Greece, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States! Our network is vast and our programs ambitious, but we’ve already proven that—as a community—we can achieve when working together!

Through our philosophy, we hope to showcase cutting-edge trends and issues across a variety of subjects, and by using social media and multimedia to bring the best resources for our program. Further, we hope to expand our community into the realms of writer advocacy; community development; and author, editor, and reader development.

So what does it take?
