Publishing Deal Nurtures New Talent

June 25, 2012 Fictionista Blog No Comments

For Immediate Release:

Fictionista Workshop, the organization which mentors budding new publishing talent, is pleased to announce a collaboration with AudioGO, the home of BBC Audiobooks, that will bring exciting contemporary writing to a wider audience.

Fictionista Workshop will now be recommending three or more original manuscripts in the first year on an exclusive basis, for e-book and audiobooks publication, promoting authors who have been through their highly-regarded workshops and/or collective process. While a recommendation doesn’t ensure publication, each manuscript will have been carefully selected, thereby increasing the possibility.

Alexandra Arlango, who negotiated the deal for AudioGO, sees this as part of the company’s on-going commitment to nurturing new writing talent. “This is an ideal opportunity for us to expand our portfolio of authors. We already publish some of the great names in contemporary fiction such as Mann-Booker winner Julian Barnes but we are always on the lookout for promising new writers.”
